What: The Sporting Affair Celebrity Waiter Dinner is a not-to-miss chance to rub elbows with Colorado sports personalities while making a difference in the life of child.
Colorado sports figures have a long history of making wishes come true for children with life-threatening illnesses. At the Celebrity Waiter Dinner, they're stepping up to the plate once again by agreeing to serve the plates, then joining event guests for dinner, laughs and entertainment.
Recruits signed on to this year's roster include new CU Coach John Embree; Olympic skier and former NFL football player Jeremy Bloom; NFL free agent Darius Walker; Denver Nuggets' Al Harrington and J.R. Smith; Pablo Mastroeni, team captain of the Colorado Rapids; and four-time racquetball Olympic gold medalist Woody Clouse, David Treadwell, a former Denver Broncos and Pro Bowl placekicker, will serve as the event emcee, also courtesy of Effective Presentations www.effectivepresentations.com.
In addition to the celebrity dinner, the Sporting Affair offers an all-star auction lineup and dueling piano entertainment.
