This course will explore how to overcome challenging personalities through methods that create trust. Also, it will consider how to navigate those who do not value effective interpersonal skills.

An Interactive Training Experience

This unique training is an interactive experience beginning with a short assessment. You’ll receive a workbook, get to hear from other participants, and get to know others in new ways.

Explore Your Natural Speaking Style

Your natural speaking style will lead to more clear, concise, and compelling communication. When two people converse, each person brings their own values, goals, and agendas. Knowing your communication strengths and challenges will help you plan for positive interpersonal communication experience regardless of the situation. In session one, we will review your results from our short proprietary assessment that measures your intrinsic motivations and explore how they influence your speaking style.

Session 2

Overcoming challenging Personalities

Some people are harder to communicate with than others. In this session, we will consider how speaking styles reflect seek to influence others, why human nature can make communication difficult, and how these psychological needs translate to playing games that undermine our confidence and trust in others. We will consider how to avoid the negative impacts of these games and still pursue our goals.

Session 3

Planning Your Next Interaction

Plan your next interaction using specific strategies, case studies, and tools. We will consider how to prepare to interact with the most difficult people in your life. Predicting how others will respond to you and planning your response to them can lower your anxiety and help you achieve your desired outcomes. You will begin to view others differently and reduce the barriers to healthy interpersonal communication.
