Turn Information, Ideas and Data Into Stories People Remember

Your team already has the information. The challenge is making people care about it, remember it and know what to do next. Why Business Storytelling Matters

Most business presentations contain plenty of information. What they often lack is a clear story.

Professionals explain what happened, walk through the numbers, list the facts and move from slide to slide. The audience receives the information but may never understand what matters most or why they should care. This is not storytelling for entertainment. It is storytelling designed for business decisions, leadership communication, client conversations, presentations and data.

Business storytelling gives information structure, meaning and relevance.

It helps professionals move beyond simply reporting facts and instead communicate:

  • What happened?
  • Why does it matter?
  • What does the audience need to understand?
  • What should happen next?

Program 01

Business Storytelling

Build Stories That Make Business Ideas Stick

Business Storytelling teaches professionals a repeatable process for finding, developing and delivering stories they can use in presentations, meetings, leadership communication, sales conversations and other business situations.

Every format uses the same EP Business Storytelling Method. The difference is the amount of practice, coaching and application built into the session.

The EP Business Storytelling Method

0 1

Find It

Discover the stories already hiding inside everyday business experiences, customer situations, projects, challenges, successes and lessons.

0 2

Choose It

Select the right story for the message and audience rather than telling a story simply because it is interesting.

0 3

Build It

Give the story enough structure to make it easy for the audience to follow.

0 4

Bring It to Life

Use concrete details and moments that help the audience picture what happened.

0 5

Connect It

Make the connection between the story and the business message unmistakable.

0 6

Tell It

Deliver the story naturally rather than sounding memorized or scripted.

0 7

Tighten It

Remove unnecessary details and keep the story moving toward its point.

0 8

Adapt It

Adjust the same story for different audiences, situations and time constraints.

0 9

Master It

Build a collection of stories that can be used confidently when the opportunity arises.

The point comes first. The story gets chosen to serve it.

Business Storytelling

Choose Your Format

Format 01

2 Hour Masterclass

A concentrated introduction to the core EP storytelling method. Best for conferences, leadership meetings, offsites and shorter professional development sessions. Participants work through the essential elements of the method, begin applying them to a business story, and leave with a practical framework they can use immediately.

Format 02

4 Hour Workshop

More application and practice than the Masterclass, with enough time to work through the core story development process and receive coaching on a story participants build during the session.

Format 03 · Deepest

Full Day Workshop

The deepest format, with expanded story development, additional practice, coaching, audience adaptation, and deeper application of the EP method. Depending on the group and goals, the full day may also include Story Library development, additional story builds, and Signature Story work.

MOST REQUESTED

Build a Story Library

Strong business storytellers do not start from zero every time they need a story.
Participants use the Story Building Matrix to capture experiences they already have and identify the different business messages each story could support. One experience may work for leadership, change, accountability, customer focus, decision making, innovation or several other business situations.
This becomes a personal Story Library participants can draw from for future presentations and conversations, covering things like:

  • Customer experiences
  • Lessons learned
  • Challenges and turning points
  • Successes and failures
  • Important decisions
  • Team experiences
  • Change
  • Innovation
  • Leadership moments

Longer formats also help participants identify and develop stronger Signature Stories that become part of their regular communication toolkit.

The EP Business Story Structure

Once the right story is selected, participants shape it using five elements:

Situation
Challenge & Stakes
Turning Point
Result
Meaning

The goal is not to make the story more complicated. It is to give it enough shape that the audience can easily follow what happened and understand why it matters.

What Participants Practice

Report vs. Scene

Instead of reporting what happened, participants learn how to create a scene the audience can picture, replacing abstract summaries with selected details that make the situation concrete without turning a business story into a performance.

Point → Story → Connection → Action

Participants connect every story to the message it serves, why that message matters to the specific audience, and what the audience should think, decide or do as a result.

Delivery

Participants practice telling stories conversationally and confidently, using voice, pacing and delivery to support the message.

Coaching

Participants build and deliver their own stories, receive coaching and refine them through repeated practice. The goal is to leave with stories that can actually be used at work, not merely an understanding of storytelling theory.

Program 02

Storytelling with Data

Turn Numbers Into a Story People Can Understand and Act On

Data does not speak for itself.

A chart may be accurate and a dashboard may contain every important number, but the audience still has to determine what matters, what changed and what should happen next.

The Storytelling with Data Workshop teaches professionals how to move from data to insight and from insight to action. It is especially useful for analysts, finance teams, operations professionals, project leaders and anyone who presents information to people who are not as close to the numbers as they are.

Every format is built around the same core framework. Longer formats add more scenarios, more practice and more depth.

Find the Story
Show the Story
Land the Story

Find the Story

Before creating the presentation, participants determine what the data is actually saying.

  • Patterns
  • Changes
  • Comparisons
  • Unexpected results
  • What matters most
  • What the audience needs to understand

Instead of trying to present everything in the dataset, participants work toward a clear one sentence insight that becomes the foundation of the story.

Show the Story

Once the insight is clear, participants learn how to make it visible.

They work on simplifying charts and slides so the audience sees the point rather than having to search for it. This includes:

  • Choosing visuals that support the message
  • Removing unnecessary clutter
  • Using insight led headlines
  • Directing attention to what matters
  • Making charts easier to understand quickly

The goal is not simply to create prettier slides. It is to make the meaning of the data easier to see.

Land the Story

A data presentation should not end with the audience merely knowing the numbers.

Participants learn how to move from finding to implication to recommendation, explaining what the data means, why it matters, and what should happen next, grounded in the evidence so they can communicate confidently without overstating what the data proves.

Storytelling with Data

Choose Your Format

4 Hour Workshop

The complete core framework with more hands on work using real charts, slides and data participants bring with them. Includes trainer demonstrations, paired practice and coaching.
